Juvenile Addictions Receiving Facility
New Beginnings is Gateway’s Juvenile Addictions Receiving Facility (JARF), which offers a safe, temporary, medically supervised facility for adolescents ages 13 to 17 who are actively using alcohol or drugs. The length of stay varies between 2 to 5 days. The length of stay allows our medical and clinical staff to conduct a thorough assessment of the child and determine the best substance abuse treatment program specific to the child’s needs.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How can I afford treatment services for my child?
A: We accept many insurance plans. Treatment for your child will be provided based on your ability to pay for services. Our staff will help you determine a solution for your family through a financial assessment.
Q: What types of substance abuse treatment services are available?
- Intervention Services
- In-Home/On-Site Services
- Traditional Outpatient Services
- Residential Substance Abuse Treatment
After your child receives a full assessment, our staff will work with you to determine the best type of treatment for your child.
Q: My child needs residential substance abuse treatment. Will he/she fall behind in school?
A: No. Through our partnership with Duval County Public Schools (DCPS), your child will receive continuing support regardless of where you reside. Our education program is custom designed to meet your child’s academic needs. DCPS officials work directly with your child’s school prior to enrollment into the residential program and continuing through the process until your child is ready to return to school. This ensures no interruption in your child’s education while in treatment.
