POSITION OBJECTIVES

Provide both direct and indirect services to clients in a multidisciplinary treatment team. May be scheduled to work in a variety of substance abuse treatment programs that provide services to adults or adolescents, in residential or outpatient settings with staff who perform assessment, intervention, prevention, individual and group therapy. Must demonstrate competencies in client population served. Attend Dependency Drug Court sessions weekly. Provide feedback to child protection staff regularly. Attend Marchman Court weekly and monitor Marchman Act documentation requirements as needed. Assist Director of Adult Services as needed. Supervision of staff and interns needing licensed supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Ensure quality internal and external customer care and service.
  2. Provide assessments for all eligible clients.
  3. Provide suicide risk screening and make recommendations.
  4. Ensure completeness and timeliness of clinical documents and administrative forms (SISARS, SAL’s, and Enrollment Forms) to include credentialing.
  5. Demonstrate flexibility as a team member and promote a positive working environment.
  6. Make an attempt to contact the parent/guardian of each client to gather corroborating information, if applicable
  7. Train new staff members as needed.
  8. Perform peer review assessments monthly with Utilization Review Coordinator
  9. Attend Medical Staffing with Medical Director
  10. Perform special projects and other Agency related assignments as requested.
  11. QP charts and BPSA.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  1. Must pass required background investigation.
  2. Must complete all required training.
  3. Must abide by Agency’s Code of Ethics, Agency Standards, Policy and Procedures Manuals.
  4. Must practice universal precautions as part of regular job duties whenever applicable.
  5. Must possess competencies required to effectively understand and deal with population served.
  6. Must complete 20 hours job related training annually.
  7. Ensure assessments are forwarded to DJJ within 48 hours, if applicable.
  8. No more than 3% error rate on SISAR’S and SALS striving for 0% error rate.
  9. Must be able to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
  10. Timely and regularly complete all required documentation, reports, and other Agency related paperwork.
  11. Ability to function as an effective team member.
  12. Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  13. Ensure safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility.
  14. Must not engage in behaviors that erode the cohesiveness of the program staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

 

·         Masters degree in related field and 3 years experience in the treatment of behavioral health disorders

·         CAP Preferred

 

SKILLS

·         Ability to engage in critical thinking.

·         Ability to formulate professional clinical reports.

·         Must possess time management skills.

·         Ability to help with problems areas without being overly critical.

·         Ability to recognize and respond to emergencies and life threatening situations in an appropriate manner.

·         Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

·         Strong customer service and organizational skills.

·         Ability to relate to adolescents, adults, families, referral sources and internal Gateway Team Members and must possess requisite competencies to effectively understand and provide appropriate services to the client population served.

·         Ability to relate and present to groups.

KNOWLEDGE

·         Knowledge of recovery process and Step programs

·         Adolescent and adult behavior and family systems

·         Assessment Skills

·         Knowledge of intervention methodology
