SUBSTANCE ABUSE TECH (SAT), MANAGER

This is a professional position in which the incumbent will provide direct training and leadership to the Adult SAT Line Staff. Incumbent will work hand in hand with the Director of Adult Services ensuring 24-7 coverage for adult residential patients. Incumbent will review all IRAS reports for the residential program making sure that all incident reports are done on time and entered into the AVATAR system. The position will require walking the property on a regular basis to ensure property is clear of debris and trash cans are kept emptied at all times. Incumbent will perform intake on new clients transferring from detox creating badges. Incumbent will be required to drive patients to appointments or to ensure that he/she has someone on shift to perform this tsk. Incumbent will host bi-weekly staff meeting to cover items of importance and to develop ways to improve the work flow if needed. This position is strongly followed by the CEO and the Development VP to ensure that Gateway is at it highest quality for guest at a moments notice. You must have an aptitude to work with adults under stressful situations in their lives. This position will require someone attentive with excellent observation and monitoring skills to observe patient behavior. It is the requirement of this position to help protect the safety, security and wellbeing of the patients. The incumbent will ensure that room inspections are completed on a daily basis, documenting anything out of the ordinary and getting with the Director of Adult Services to fix any on-going issues. The incumbent must be able to show empathy to the patient’s needs and have the ability to intervene quickly and appropriately with patients experiencing crisis situations. The incumbent will be required to complete occurrence reports, Behavioral form reports and communicate all within the Pass down Log (PDL). This position may be required to work evenings; weekends or holidays and incumbent must be awake throughout all shifts. Incumbent must have a valid state of Florida driver’s license with a safe driving record as verified by the agencies insurance company and ability to successfully complete an agency driving test.
Incumbent must have a completed Bchelor’s Degree in a related field with with 3 years experience working in the field of substance abuse or mental health. An AA degree or Bachelors in psychology or related field is preferred. This is an excellent position for someone with ambition for the field of recovery and/or mental health along with furthering their education. This position would also allow for growth within the organization with the experience and higher education.
